DWF: Design Web Format, several images and/or drawings compressed into a smaller image file, for a simpler handling and sharing through the Internet, open format. Similar to PDF files, this smaller file contains scale and design information ready to be managed by designers and experts.

Autodesk DWF Viewer allows users to customize applications, read and write these DWF image files. They can print and view maps, models, 2D and 3D drawings, distribute 3D models and CAD files that include mass properties, layers and sheets, using DWF files without needing of buying any other software. These files are directly published from AutoCAD programs. With Autodesk DWF Writer, it makes a complete set for handling designs and images across the Internet.

It supports 3D measuring, import DWG and DXF files, batch printing, raster images in new formats, etc.

The name of DWF Viewer has been changed to Autodesk® Design Review. Now this freeware application allows all the users to work with 3D and 2D models and share them through the Web.

The latest Updade is Rubbish after I Downloaded from Autodesk website. They have left the 36% Window Vista and 34% Windows XP users on the corner to be picked up by the Rubbish Truck. Autodesk has to be the lost missing Brother of Microsoft and they behave just the same way. After Downloading 900 MB File it says that only Window 7 and 8 can use the their software and refuses to install on Widows Vista. Autodesk they have forgotten that without Customers they will go out of Business but Aparently just like Microsoft they just do not care about their customers. BombCrazy
